Abuse of our System
We reserve the right to terminate your account or restrict access to any part of our website and or services in the event that our system indicates there is abuse. Abuse is defined as using our services for actions that it is not intended for.
Abuse of our API system by either spam or unauthorized use of an API Key will result in the API Key to be disabled and removed. Your account will be unable to access our system or services immediately.
Reporting of Abuse
In the event you as a user suspect abuse on your system, you MUST notify us immediately so we can start the process of investigation. We will start our investigation and work with your team to help identify the issue and provide a remedy.
Use of PII/PHI
We require all users of our services to take all the precautions and safeguards to protect Personally Identifiable Information and or Personal Health Information. We do not store any of the PII/PHI passed through our system. PII/PHI passed through our API is solely used to communicate with other systems to verify Veteran status.
Free usage of Our Services
Our services are free up to 100 verified requests a month. A verified request is defined as a request to our API in which a verified result for a Veteran is returned. In the the your account limit is reached, a 400 Bad Request will be returned. The API will also return an error description stating that the account has reached it limit.
Paid Usage of Our Services
If you would like to remove the limit of 100 verified requests per month, you can update your account for $4.99 USD a month. This subscription will recur monthly until the subscription is canceled. Our Paid Service is known as a Premium Account. Premium accounts have no monthly API usage limit.
Cancelation of Services
You can cancel or delete your account at any time. Your API key will be immediately removed from our system and the API will no longer work. If you decide to cancel your premium subscription to our services, your API key will work without limitations until your next billing cycle.After the billing cycle triggers and your premium account has been canceled, your API key will still be active but will be limited to 100 verified API requests. Deleting your account will completely remove all API access instantly.
Inactive API usage
Accounts that are inactive for 6 months will automatically be remove. An inactive account is determined by API requests. No API requests for for 6 months is grounds for account removal. We will make every attempt to let you know your account is close to being inactive.
